On the right bank of the Adda. The parish church of Santi Gervaso e Protaso has been restored in the present century, but still retains the polygonal apse of the original 14th cent. structure. It contains frescoes by Bernardino Campi (c. 1552-1591) and other 15th cent. frescoes. The Castello di Trezzo, of which only the grandiose ruins now stand, was one of the most impor-tant in Lombardy, closely connected with the history of the Longobards and later restored by the Viscontis. A large, square tower, the Tower of Barbarossa, and the prisons have survived.
