Trezzo sull’Adda is a comune located in the Lombardy region of Italy. The town is situated about 30 kilometers northeast of Milan, and it borders several other municipalities. The Naviglio Martesana canal starts from the Adda River in Trezzo’s territory.

Trezzo sull’Adda is most famous for its medieval castle, which belonged to the Visconti family in the 14th century. The castle is protected by the Adda River on two sides, and it had a 42-meter high square tower on the third side. The castle has been destroyed and rebuilt several times, and it was last reconstructed in 1370 by Bernabò Visconti.

Trezzo sull’Adda is also home to several churches and monasteries, including the St. Gervaso and Protaso’s Provost church, the Chapel of the Death in the Quarries, the Saint Benedict’s Abbey, and the Saint Rocco’s Church. These religious sites offer visitors a glimpse into the town’s rich history and cultural heritage.
